We have a CRM system written in VB (VS2012) with MS SQL Server. We want to provide our users of this system with the ability to provide THEIR customers with a portal with which they can exchange documents and instructions. The CRM has client records, and each of these records has documents and actions associated with it. Our user needs to be able to drop documents and actions into an area of the portal designated for that client (we will adapt the CRM to do that), and the client needs to be able to log into their area, see and manage the documents in it, and change the status of the documents and existing actions and add new ones which will be accessable by the CRM. The client needs to be able to log into their area of the portal through a browser and later by an app. The client also needs to be able to digitally sign the documents prior to marking them for return. The portal interface needs to be configurable so our users can easily upload their own branding (logo, colour scheme etc) which will in turn show when their users log into their portal area.
This project is to determine the best platform for the client portal software, and design and program the solution and its deployment.
