PDR Mail Clerk, Entry

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs routine data entry and provides clerical support for the PDR department. Sorts mail, categorizes appeals to work groups. The PDR Data Entry Clerk is responsible for performing clerical activities to include but not limited to copying, filing, data entry, verifying member eligibility, sorting of mail, categorizing work buckets for PDR and updates provider information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generates and mails patient/provider and /or IPA letters as needed.
Types, files and copies office correspondence as needed.
Forwards mail as needed to other departments of Care1st.
Sorts, categorizes the mail, assigns tasks to the mail.
Enters or registers PDR inventory data manually in the system within 5 business days of receipt.
Sorts PDR material to prioritize processing.
Verifies member eligibility, benefits and authorizations as needed.
Verifies provider and vendor name and address and other data.
Validates and corrects data as a result of optical character resolution scanned claims with matching claim documentation images and other necessary files, as needed.
Clerical functions, to include scanning of all PDR type documents, including medical records and all correspondence related to claims processing and mail as assigned.
Maintains an accuracy level required for this position.
Performs other duties and assigned by management.
