----WHO WE ARE----

• Controls Online is a Business2Business eCommerce StartUp in the technical engineering field.

We sell pressure, temperature and level measurement & control instruments for mining/oil&gas firms, wineries, wastewater facilities, breweries, farmers..

e.g. Farmers would use our liquid level transmitters to measure their irrigation levels, Mining companies measure their tank levels with our products etc...

• E-commerce selling not just products but individual SOLUTIONS!

For example the local farmer who is looking to level control his damp – we present a full solution on our website by informing him how he can use our control applications to control his damp and how he can access all the data he needs to do so. The local farmer might not know all the applications that we can provide for him, so we position ourselves as educative, solution-based brand!

• Our brand targets end-users from several industries individually and specifically (addresses the local farmer and informs him rather than just sells something). Hence our brand logo needs to be understood not just from tech-savvy consultants but more so from the farmer next door.

----WHAT WE LOOK FOR----

Our logo should represent that we sell an automated electronic control solution, and it should not focus solely on the technical aspects but on the fact that we can help the vineyard next door to improve their efficiency.

• Minimalistic, clear lines and borders, simplicity with elegance and industrial look (e.g. sharp edges etc.)

• Simple but recognizable symbol that can easily be rebuild by our customer (for example everyone knows the apple logo and it is easy to draw and remember), so not too many details or too complicated.

• Printable and recognizable from far distances, hence small components in the logo will blur in small print or when printed on a banner and hung high up in the air..

• We offer high technical expert advice with solution-based products so maybe something with a ‘frame’ or ANYTHING PEOPLE WILL LINK WITH 'SOLUTIONS' & 'EXPERTISE'

• People seeing our logo should feel like the brand is high in knowledge and expertise.

----COLOURS & FONTS----

Our colour scheme is navy to dark blue, maybe implement silver-grey shadows to create additional layers (to give it a more three dimensional look)

• professional NOT PLAYFUL

• A strong symbol as logo on the left hand side followed by the words ‘Controls Online’. If the symbol is strong enough, the font used for the words needs to be a bit understated so the focus is on the symbol

----WHERE WE WILL USE THE LOGO----

• Products and equipment (must be easy to print, not too many layers, effects or shades)

• Signage (in several sizes, hence too complex/detailed symbols not useful, must be recognisable form a distance)

• Labels

• Stationery

• Online

----WHAT MARKETS WE TARGET----

• Targeting food & beverage industry, wineries

• Targeting agriculture & irrigation

• Targeting water & waste management industries

• Targeting process & chemical industries

• Targeting power & energy industry

• Targeting mining, oil & gas industry

Remember we position ourselves as brand who speaks to non-tech-savvy people as well as engineers and specialists.
