C++ Character Recognition in different sizes

I want a software done in C++ that automatically takes a screen shot of a specific program (computer game), must recognize its resolution, then it must fetch 3 images which are followed by numbers and convert from image to character, we only need to look for numbers.
The numbers we are looking for are always in a fixed position depending on the resolution.
Look at the images, we look for all the numbers after each small icon.
Must work in all windows editions from windows 7 up.
