Technical Co-Founder Wanted for Web Marketplace Startup

1. DESCRIPTION
Our startup is looking for a full stack developer who is comfortable with both front and back end programming. The succesful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding functionality of a web marketplace. A major benefit for a candidate would be experience in e-commerce and two sided marketplaces. This is not the standard "join us so you can build our idea for us" position for a developer. We have already built this product and it is live now.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
* Developing front end website architecture
* Driving direction for tech stack
* Designing user interactions on web pages
* Implement security systems to protect user data and tech stack
* Developing back end website applications
* Creating new databases for increased functionality
* Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones & tablets
* Developing and implementing APIs
* Ability to conduct security reviews and generate reports
* Keeping up with trends in web applications and programming languages
* Understanding of SEO activites and implementations
* Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
3. REQUIREMENTS
* Previous experience running development teams
* Strong organisational and project management skills
* Proficient with front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
* Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, and React
* Proficiency with server side languages such as Java and PHP
* Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Strong problem solving skills
* Deep desire to finish what you start
* Attention to detail
* Entry level knowledge of web or visual design
* Understand user experience best practices
The role at this point will provide ongoing remuneration on a freelancer paid basis (paid for each task that is completed).
