Scrape Data on a daily basis, import it into wordpress site

I need data to be scpraped on a daily basis from 2-3 sites, data will be generated (from these sites) on a daily basis and needs to be included into my database as well.
The data consists of lines of sports events - date, teams, result, league etc.
The scraped data should be able to be included in my wordpress site. It is good to have some simple backend control panel. Initially it is not necessary to have a nice interface in the front-end, it should be like twitter's bootstrap - every new line of data will be added on top of a feed with all data of all websites, tagged in some way showing which website the line is coming from.
The data should be stored in database so that some backdata modifications could be possible in future.
Please show me your previous work for similar projects.
