Create interactive/ dynamic sliders with transition/rollovers for Prestashop site

Our Previous developer has brought the website within touching distance of completion from a design/ development perspective. this task is for those that are very knowledgeable with editing Prestashop, Smarty PHP and WordPress.
The slider effects we wish to have, which are similar to the [url removed, login to view] site but with our product pictures/links. The 3 sliders will have clickable links to the products, that first appear in black and white and quickly transition to colour when the mouse rolls over. A photo mock up will be available in the attached project files so you can see the fonyfw effect on our website. You can see there we have pasted the facesofnyfw effect into the space we require for our sliders as a [url removed, login to view], we have done a rough copy of what one of the sliders will look like.
