The site is intended to highlight the many ridiculous licenses plates and honor the ones that are funny.
PLEASE ONLY PROPOSE A WORD PRESS BASED SITE. The theme can be simple, the important functionality is the ranking of photos, anonymous upload, and anonymous commenting.
The key features we need are:
1 People to easily be able to comment, anonymously. To post: enter a display name, a comment, an email (not shown), and a security function.
2. People should be able to upload a new photo without logging in. The information they have to enter to post:
- Display Name name
- email address for verification
- License plate state (selector box with 50 US states)
- License plate content (8 characters)
- Title for their posting
- A comment about the plate
- (optional) Where the pic was taken
- Fill out a basic security question (what is 4 plus 5?)
- a box that lets them select if they should be notified every time someone comments on their photo
3. For those that want to sign up:
- email notification preferences
- a history of their posts
4. Website users can categorize photos into the following categories:
- Clever (Counts as 1 clever point)
- WTF? (Counts as 1 clever point)
- Funny (Counts as 1 funny point)
- Douchebag (Counts as 1 douche point)
- Mega Douche (Counts as 3 douche points)
The site tracks the votes from users displays the results.
5. Links on the side of the site with the following categories:
- Top rated douchebag plates (ranks the photos with the most douche votes)
- Funny plates
- Clever Plates
- WTF?! plates
6. Anyone must be able to flag a photo as inappropriate. Upon a flag, the administrators will be notified.
7. Space for ads on the side of the site. (google ads)
8. Secure ADMIN console must have full control over postings and website content.
9. Site will be hosted on dreamhost. Please ensure the template you use is compatible.
10. Social media links must be available.
