We have a website that has some rendering issues in IE8+ due to background images / scaling and transparency support. We need the CSS updating to make IE8 look as close as possible to the way it renders in Chrome.

The way it looks in Chrome is the way we want it to look in IE8
Main issues:
- Header bar appears black in IE (transparent overlay is not transparent) should be purple-ish
- Homepage butterfly image not scaling smaller in IE
- Search box / button and facebook link not scaling and
Attached is the template source, required changes are to be handed over as changes to these files.
