Hello there,
We are in a process of developing an AVL system in Bangladesh and currently looking for an experienced developer based there (pre-requisite for better understanding of the context). The project is quite complicated and requires extensive teamwork to execute.
The system will have some specific features ensuring certain criteria which are roughly as followings:
* The vehicles will strictly adhere to pre-assigned routes and fixed stoppages spanning most of Bangladesh, so will have fixed origins and destinations (no doubt about that!!!)
* Number of vehicles will be app 150 nos. and all have to be displayed simultaneously in 5 sec refreshing time
* The map will be scalable vector map, preferably ArchGIS shape or MapInfo geoset type (or as per recommendation, not google or third party map anyway). We have already prepared the vector map.
* The system should have “Geo-Fencing” feature around POI (point of interest) e.g. pre-assigned stoppages, to report arrival and departure events.
* The system should have “Street ID Matching” features (ability to recognize street ID), so that it can report vehicle’s real-time location status at any given moment by analyzing metadata and real-time data.
* The system should have IR reading feature on the tracker end to read IR transponder stationed at POIs.
* The system will run in a “Server-Client” intranet environment, totally independent of internet.
* The GPS data will be fed through third party GSM cellular connectivity to GSM server, will then reach our AVL server by physically connected network.
* The system should have two-way connectivity between AVL clients and onboard tracking modules
* On the client side workspace, it should have map window, rolling report window, vehicle list window and command window. Report window is for real-time status of vehicles in text format
* The system should have track play back features for post processing and performance analysis of vehicles.
* The system should have a secondary feature to reply with SMS providing specific real-time information analyzed in conjunction with metadata and real-time data.
The hardware and protocol issues will be discussed later and we will provide further detail system logic and necessary background information if we can reach an agreement down the track. Please feel free to reply (or not to reply if you don’t) with an approximate quotation, on which we can reach a bilaterally satisfactory agreement afterwards, if we feel to do so.
