I joined DELOITTE TOUCHE TOHMATSU LIMITED (DTTL) - Karachi Office, in November 2008 as an Audit Trainee. Presently I am working in the capacity of Senior in the Audit and Assurance department of M. YOUSUF ADIL SALEEM & CO. Chartered Accountants. My key responsibilities have included: ? Planning, relationship handling, execution, finalization and review of various statutory financial audits, and other assurance and non-assurance engagements at various financial institutions, manufacturing concerns and service entities while complying with the applicable national legislations, IFAC Code of Ethics for Chartered Accountants as adopted in Pakistan, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and International Auditing Practice Statements (IAPSs); ? Implementing Deloitte Audit Methodology and AS/2 in all the audit and review engagements as required by DTTL; ? Managing teams of 3-12 persons at the audits of various clients and ensuring effective and efficient completion of audit. ? Review of compliance with the Best Practices of the Code of Corporate Governance ? Audit of Return of Capital Adequacy prepared under BASEL II Framework. My experience in the Audit and Assurance department of the firm has enabled me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive and regulatory environments of diversified industries and the accounting and internal control systems implemented at various organizations.
