Clean up Java code and replace Oracle with MySQL

We have a client who was up till recently using a full blown Oracle Database, however they have now opted to do without one as they are scaling down the size of their operations.
We have a (streamlined) codebase of their whole operations and only want a part of this particular code base to work, however that does require some fiddling, removing calls to monitoring / logging servers which are not active. And most importantly creating a new DB Class to handle all connections / data via MySQL. A mySQL data with expected inputs / outputs will be provided. Note that the process which is required is run via console / cron so there will be no UI work related to this project.
Note the code could be somewhat old, but has been maintained throughout it's lifetime to work within the latest Java versions.
