In SAP users have "JR" roles that make up their read(display)/write access to different screens within the software. Each user has different combinations of between 1 and 40 or so JR roles. There are around 220 unique JR roles. Each JR role is made up of between 1 and 2,400 "T-Codes". T-codes are what really give the user the ability to read (display T-Codes) or write (all others) in SAP. There is now an effort to limit the user's amount of Roles and T-Codes. Users will now get ONE "FC" role and ONE "FD" role. (FD is display only). These 2 roles will consist of a reduced number of T-Codes to replace JR roles. Most are the same T-Codes as used for JR roles but there will be 200 or so T-Codes no longer used and around 2 dozen new T-Codes in this effort. There are now around 54 combination FC/FD roles. I'm dealing with around 2,200 users. I have an Excel spreadsheet containing what JR roles have which T-Codes. I also have what FC/FD "composite" roles have which T-Codes. I also have in Excel the 2,200 or so users (by ID number) and what current JR roles they have.

The Project would be to analyze what new FC/FD composite roles and their corresponding T-Codes come closest to replace a user's current JR role. I would need to know which T-Codes are new and which are removed compared to what they had. I also need the ability to add and remove users as needed to continuously receive this information after this project is complete. I also need to be able to add new "composite" FC/FD roles that are not yet created for future analysis. Users are added/removed daily in my database and not all the FC/FD roles are made yet although I believe it's around 95% complete. Basically I need this work done but I also need to understand how to continue this analysis myself with new users and after adding new FC/FD roles. I can do "Vlookups" to get my way through this if there were less users but I need something that can handle 2,200 plus without having to do a Vlookup for each user. Not sure if Access is better suited?
