Looking for someone who could develop a simple tool (in Excel) that will be used to calculate three values: the downside Beta, the upside Beta and the "standard" overall Beta of a number of stocks.
The Input will be:
1. List of stock tickers (up to 500, entered manually with the Yahoo Finance format)
2. Look-back period (option to select 1 year, 3 years or 5 year)
3. Start date of the Look-back period (default: Today)
4. Automatic download of the required data to make the calculations (i.e.: Daily adjusted close price from Yahoo! for each of the input stock tickers and period listed above)
5. Automatic download from Yahoo of the P/E ratio for each of the stock tickers listed above
The formula to calculate the various Betas are straightforward and can be found at:

The output will be:
- Column 1: All the stock tickers listed above
- Column 2: Calculated Standard Beta
- Column 3: Calculated Downside Beta
- Column 4: Calculated Upside Beta
- Column 5: Difference between Standard Beta and Downside Beta
- Column 6: Difference between Upside Beta and Standard Beta
- Column 7: P/E Ratio
