I am looking to build and manage a Wordpress directory site for my local area.
The focus is heavily on events, especially for families and I need the search functionality of the site to be quite intricate (i.e. search by day of the week, ' Tuesday', date, postcode (nearest to), price plus more)
For launch, there will be 3 main areas,
1) Groups i.e. mother and baby groups, toddler groups, etc,
2) Events i.e. one off events
3) Attractions i.e. local places to visit/of interest
Each of these areas will have options for submitting content (to be approved by admin before published)
Other areas for launch will be a Home page, news/blog section plus contact page.
In the future (but not for phase 1) there will also need to be an e-commerce option for paid-for listings (i.e. a plugin like 'Easy Pricing Tables).
Also in the future I hope to add directories for Jobs Search, Home Search and possibly Business/Classifieds.
I will be able to add all the content but I am looking for a developer to set up the template, add any relevant plugins and get it to a point where I just need to add all the copy and events.
From researching themes Eventum looks like it might have the framework needed but I would be open to alternative suggestions.
Please note that the whole site needs to be fully responsive and work on smart phones and tablets as I see the majority of my audience visiting the site through these means.
