Access Query - Admissions by Day and Month

Hello,
Using the attached database and validation spreadsheet, I need 2 queries created that will accurately account for admissions by day and by month.
Additionally, the sum of admissions per day need to match month end when you sum the days within the month.
An admission occurs on the earliest POSTINGTIMESTAMP when QTY = 1. A QTY -1 represents a reversal.
The results of query 1 (admissions by day),
POSTINGTIMESTAMP, DEPT, FINANCIALRECNUM, QTY
The results of query 2 (admissions by month),
POSTINGTIMESTAMP, DEPT, FINANCIALRECNUM, QTY
In the validation spreadsheet, you will notice what the expected value for the month is... your query needs to provide that for the given month of the postingtimestamp.
