Classic ASP webservice to .NET

Hi,
I have a classic ASP page which reads in an XML file, queries my database and returns another XML file with the results.
I am looking for somebody with .NET webservice knowledge who can either:
- Translate my ASP code over to VB.Net and return the XML as a Data Set
or
- Use a .NET webservice to post to my current ASP webservice and return the results from that as a Data Set.
I am fairly new to webservice programming so would be looking for someone to explain how this generally works.
I have a tight deadline with this so a quick turnaround would be beneficial.
