SLIGHTLY UPDATE BRIEF,PLEASE REFER TO THIS AS THE CURRENT (attached file contains old original brief)
I need a logo for my upcoming recipe website www.classicneasy.com, which will host cooking recipes, classic but simplified, easy to cook even by the busiest person. I already have the title ("Classic'n Easy Recipes") and the tag-line ("simplifying gourmet cuisine"). Then I need to add a graphic design for a logo.
LOOSENING REQUIREMENT: I was thinking at a classic/modern dressed lady (can be 1950 style, but also a modern style), that would have to relate to the concept of having something to do with having ingredients and/or cooking. It's important to relate to the concept that cooking classic recipes is doable even by modern busy lady/girls. Also the lady should not show to be too much 'serving' others, it is not very appreciated by the modern world; more independent and self confident.

I'm actually looking for creativity in choosing something that would be more catchy, so please use your imagination!
I also need the title and tag-line in the full logo design layout. I really like the font Wendy LP, for the title (classic), but looking for another font for the tag-line (which instead should be the more modern/actionable one).

Requirements summary:
-need a logo which include the title, tag-line and graphic design (caricature) of a lady doing something related to classic and easy recipes. Easy in the sense that a busy lady/girl can still feel able to cook classic recipes, without having to spend hours in the kitchen.
-for title and tag-line fonts, I would like to have something classic for the title, and something more modern/to the point, for the tag-line. They need to look good together. For the classic one, I like Wendy LP, but it is not a super hard requirement if you find something else that shows a better fit
-the lady should not look too much like a Japanese caricature, it has to be ethnic-independent as much as possible.
LOOSENING THIS REQ: -the lady hairstyle could be either classic or modern and brunette hair color.
-the lady should show a nice smile, while doing whatever she is doing, and have a stylish modern way of carrying herself, while dressing classic)
-the site will have 3 colors. Two main colors for title, tag-line and highlights and the remaining color for the recipe body text (I am thinking at a grayish color, easy to read and to the eyes). So the logo will have to keep this in mind. The color pairs suggested and shown in the pdf are also not a hard requirement if you show me that you have a better idea.
-FOR ALL THESE "NOT HARD REQUIREMENTS", I will review early submissions right away, and give you immediate feedback, so you will be able to reduce the uncertainty and just focus on the one I will tell you I like the most.
-The final product should be .SVG or .AI, since I will need to use it on the site, business cards, etc.; I will have the full ownership of the complete artwork.
BIG NOs:
-graphic caricature should be drawn by scratch, NO TEMPLATE copied from the web!
-do not want any background color.
-do not put together colors that are like a sore-eye and really remove the "classic" feel of the site
-don't be afraid of show your idea for the lady actions/caricature; if I don't like it I will tell you right away, and I will give you suggestions to change it to something more to my liking if I see potential.
-do not have the design relate "classic'n easy" to the girl! That would be a disaster! It has to relate to the recipes obviously :)
By the way, the attached example title/tagline/lady looks pretty boring, so I'm hoping to see something much nicer/catchier. I love long-term work relationships, so if I really like your work I will definitely re-hire you for future jobs, and I already have many in mind.

SLIGHT CHANGE TO TEXT. Ok, again got many feedbacks from friends and coworkers, and it seems that the title and tag-line as they are now don't really fully convey the message. So the final title will be : "Classic'n Easy Recipes" and the tag-line will be "simplifying gourmet cuisine". Even better because the title is now wider, to better fill up the rectangular top of the site, on the right of the lady. I also edited the brief.

@nicoscr ( #8 ). The lady looks nice. Maybe you can spice it up a little bit (doing something different with her hands/arms, carrying something different?). I'm not very fond of the title font really, but the 2 colors are very nice together.

  Maybe just giving her a nicer more captivating smile will give make her much better? The body shape is already very good. Maybe also try another hair color (hairstyle is good), like the dark brown/brunette ? And maybe a couple of example carrying something different ?

  I think the lady's head/face is a little too big for the body, and the skin color is a little too dark giving low contrast with the dress.

@TriHNguyen ( #4 ): I like a lot the idea of the lady on the top right. Carrying bread and groceries is a great idea. Since this style is not really like a lady from the 1950s, but more like a modern lady, and I still like it, maybe the haircut could be more modern/business like, lady smiling. I'm sure the lady body will be less sketchy type when you start working on the details (love the movement of the legs, but really too skinny now, as a skecth right ? :) ). The logo has too many colors and not very convinced about the font (like the logo more as a classic font).

  I'm very interested to see a detailed development of the top right. Still hoping for a nice captivating smile, more modern hair style, and possibly not an 'anime' type of face, but more western. I like the dynamics that those leg movements give to the lady, shows a business style, of a lady going home cooking.

  Thanks, I like the lady. Maybe an example with more modern haircut, and some other color for the dress ? I like both ideas of having a full 1-piece dress or a skirt and shirt plus a little jacket. I don't really like the 2 different colors in the title/tag, maybe choosing one color that the lady has somewhere in her dress to keep the entire logo on some common tone ?

Also, the font should not be too thick/bold, and not having too many frills (like at the C of Classic, for example). Good something like Wendy LP or Script, but not 'too much Script'. Probably best fonts are in 12 and 20, so far.

@chicabeingme ( #6 ). Lady's waist and bodyshape is too wide/fat. The action that the lady is doing is not really appealing. She looks more like chasing somebody with a pan. Also the lady is not really smiling and focused/charming in what is doing. Nice color pairings though. I'd say the lady and what she is doing need to be revised.

  The best pairings are the 2 bottom left, and the fonts I'm undecided between the same 2. The apron with the big flowers of the middle left is good. The lady needs to be much skinnier though, a nicer smile, and doing something different with the tools.

Thanks to all, with your submissions I'm getting a clearer idea on what fits best for what I need. At this point I'm re-evaluating all the left active submission readjusting the ratings. Your star might move up/down in relation to what I understand and feel now. I am sure the logo has to be really focused on the concept of being classy recipes, not extravagant, but something that never goes out of style and easy for any busy type of life. Also, I got feedback from many friends telling me that they would prefer seeing the lady more independent and not too much 'serving' others, since that might be an old (not classic!) concept, that is less appreciated in the modern world.

Thanks to all of you, I see some good ideas here. Here's a main clarification for all, now that I saw a few submissions. I like the lady looking classy, but needs to look not too old, not too fat and still looking like a lady possibly busy/active. The 1950 style is good, but as I said it's not a hard requirement if you can think out of the box and show an idea of being classy/nice business attire but being involved with cooking, like some of you did. She needs to have a nice/captivating smile. I gave also a few feedbacks on the font for title/tagline, but obviously the graphic part is the important piece, which i will decide the winner on.

@tjayart ( #10 ). The lady has a too-wide face and a crooked leg. Also I do not really like the raffles at the top of the apron, and the hairstyle is not very attractive. ( #11 ) It is better without the white pocket, but I prefer the smile of the previous submission and the thinner face. Also, I'm not sure about the spoon, maybe it's better without it.

@abhidesignlab ( #7 ). The first impression of the lady seems like a cow-boy (cow-girl), carrying a microphone. that is not classic. Also the colors of the lady are off, she is not smiling, the hairstyle is not related at all with modern business attire.

  That lady on my picture needs to be modified anyway, cant just be the same but vectorial. Also it should have something added to make her more catchy, interesting.

@mamunlogo (#9) The title and tag-line fonts are not bad, but the graphic design is very basic. Good that you submit it even if doesnt have a lady, since I asked to use your creativity even if theres no lady involved. But bottom line, you need to give the idea of something classy and easy at the same time, and it has to be catchy, attractive. The graphic that you choose is very basic and does not add anything special to the concept.

@King79 (#3). The colors are no good (black and green, doesn't relate at all with the idea of the lady cooking). The lady is definitely a copy and paste from a template, since she looks like smoking or stabbing somebody from behind. The font of the title and the taglines though are interesting and nicely put.

Entries that show that the artist did not even read the brief will be rejected (#1, nonsense; #2 i said the lady had to be redrawn by scratch and title and tag should be visible like in the example i gave)
