Advertorial for New Kind of Air Conditioner
This was a fun contest, but either I didn't win or the sponsor never awarded the prize. The product was a new type of air portable conditioner that worked on water -- ideal for small spaces like a baby's nursery or one-person office. The assignment was to create a sort of "advertorial" in which the "World News" investigated and reported on this new product. Obviously it would be a paid ad that looked like a news report. You'll see that I followed the instructions well and created a very interesting, compelling article/ad. Notice the benefit-oriented headline and hard-hitting, bold-face subheads. I think this would have done a good job for the contest sponsor -- if they decided to go through with the project. I hope you enjoy reading this advertorial.
