The turmoil of sisterhood, the importance of love, and the deadly intensity of lust, all in a noir 1960s France. How far do our personalities push us?
Anastasia Brown - I’m a freelance full-time BA university English & Film student with three years of critical and screenwriting experience behind me facilitating and looking for cast + creatives for my upcoming project, ‘The Name Has A Price’.
I am looking for creatives based in the London area & around England. Whilst a cast and crew list is being formed and some have been locked in, I am still searching for producers, directors, post-production editors, colour graders, and male actors.
Originally beginning as a 112 page feature screenplay, it has been cut back to a 23 page/min piece.
Plot overview:
In 1964, aspiring author Noemie is writing a book about her younger sister, Manette & her relationship with fiancé Maurice, which she is convinced will become a romantic masterpiece. Manette & Maurice’s fun and passionate relationship soon turns dark as Manette, a girl of the streets, becomes convinced her fiancé is unfaithful and murders him.
Noemie’s novel is now turning into a story she never wanted to tell and she begins to resent her sister for ruining her dream novel and committing such a heinous crime. When published, ‘The Name Has A Price’ reveals the truth about Manette, twisting her fate. Manette is soon sent to jail and Noemie’s novel gives her the 15 minutes of fame she so desperately longed for.
