Edit a html/php file and add place holder values for fields into the html/php

I have a large html file which was converted to html from a pdf. Initially I need the first page only for a proof of concept. I need to add the generated html for the first page of this large html document to another php file. (Sample will be provided).
I then need place holder tags placed into the html where fields will eventually be placed. I will provide you with the placeholder names and locations of exactly where they need to go.
If the poc is successful there will be more such work fairly soon.
