Full Job Description
As a Design + Build Interior, Kitchen & Bath Estimator you will:
• Understand the scope of work in advance, and work to produce preliminary and final estimates for a project.
• Create material and labor estimate takeoffs.
• Prepare conceptual estimates and letters, final contract specifications and construction contracts.
• Provide suggestions, options, and insights to customers during the selections process
• Hands on residential construction or renovation experience
• Kitchen and bath design experience
• AutoCAD experience
• Sketchup experience
• Drafting experience
• Construction or renovation estimating experience
• Able to represent yourself professionally
• Has a natural curiosity and enjoys digging into and solving problems
• Contact vendors to get proposal for different scope of works
• Prepare accurate documentation for vendors to price the works off of
• Maintain a standard materials price list.
• Review job costs and update pricing information accordingly.

About you:
• 4+ years of experience in residential design/construction.
• Computer proficiency and demonstrated skill in using software such as Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Planswift (estimating software is a plus!)
• Current product and cost expertise for doors, windows, skylights, cabinetry (made to order and custom), lighting, plumbing fixtures, finishes (such as tile, stone, solid surfacing, and laminates), millwork, appliances, and flooring.
• Good interpersonal skills and concern for internal and external clients.
• Understand the basics of all areas of residential construction, including, but not limited to demolition, concrete, framing, structural requirements, roofing, exterior finishes (stucco, siding, etc.) electrical, plumbing, insulation, drywall, flooring, painting, windows, hardware, etc.
• Provide clear communication with everyone you interact with
Experience:
• Residential design/construction estimating experience: 5 years (Preferred)
Education:
• Bachelor's (Preferred)
Compensation:
• Commensurate with Experience and size of project
• Paid per Project
Employment/Job type:

• Estimate and Proposal Turnaround : 5 days after project assignment
