Display a list of contacts from a database table

In my VOIP app, I have a Contacts button which links to normal Android contacts. I would like this button to show a list of the contacts who are in my database.
It will need to check a database table under the 'user' column and compare this with the user's contacts to see which of them are in the database table.
If they are in the database, it will list them in a standard popup dialog. In that list, the contact name should link to the normal call function, such that clicking on the contact will attempt a normal call (or display a popup according to existing app logic).
At the bottom of the dialog, there should be an option "All Contacts" linking to normal Android contacts (like the current Contacts button).
The 'user' column in the database contains phone numbers which need to be checked against the user's contacts for matching phone numbers.
