I have a requirement for a small Android application or script that will either:

delete the SQLite contacts db on Android 2.3.3 (as found on the Samsung Galaxy S2 phone) followed by the copying of a backed up file to replace the deleted copy.

purge/delete all items in this database then immediately populate it with a small number of new contacts.

This process to be available via an icon on the phone desktop or via the applications drawer.

That's it!
