Jorge Luis is Pharmaceutical Chemist and Data Scientist with a 10+ year experience in statistical model and prediction, most of this focused in environmental studies. Possesses strong leadership skills and has proven to drive efficiency on both multi-lingual and multi-disciplinary teams through effective communication in Spanish and English. As part and member of the Isotopic Geochemistry and Geochronology Lab, Jorge developed a statistical methodolgy to identify paleosalinity proxies in marsh sediments. With large data sets of environmental data, he was able to predict a model of sea-level rise for the last 100 years. He also was a valuable asset during the Environmental Assessment Study of San Pedro River Dam-construction project (an ambitious project of the state-owned Federal Electricity Commission CFE to dam the last free-dam river in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range in western Mexico) where he helped to identify and address potential environmental effects at the early stage of of the dam construction. His participation in Environmental Assessment Projects strengthened the quality and credibility of the assessment report. Before entering the environmental field, Jorge worked at Pfizer for 3 years as Regulatory Affairs Assistant, among his different roles, he helped during the registration renewals of several pharmaceutical products. Through his career, Jorge has worked in different countries (United States and Mexico). He is passionate about cultural understanding and language learning, making him an easy-to reallocate resource around the world.
