Website Redesign + Backend Development + Database Work

Hiring someone to revamp the backend of and redesign the front of my website, http://DreAllDay.com. It runs on Wordpress and I want to keep using WP. What needs doing (there may be more work that I don’t know of that will also need to be done): 1. Reduce database size. My site has a large database of content — mostly, it seems, because of the heavy load of images loaded onto the site since its inception in 2005. I want this DB size greatly reduced (which will lower my hosting costs), and all unnecessary files removed. This should speed up my site performance. Current database size is slightly over 18GB; with file optimization and other fixes, we should be able to get to about a quarter of that size, I would suspect. Let me know if you see it differently. 2. Find / create / customize new WP theme. I want user experience optimized and the site very mobile friendly, also membership-capable with logins and such. I am currently use the INK theme but am open to others. I want you to suggest themes; I will pay for any premium theme that needs to be purchased. 3. Site should be a lot less “heavy” than it is right now. All images and pages optimized for web delivery. (anything I've missed that would be necessary to create the below deliverables) Outcomes / How Results Will Be Measured: 1. Optimized site speed on both desktop and mobile (GTMetrix & Google Page speed measurements): Faster load time for desktop (4 seconds or less) and mobile (3 seconds or less) as measured by Google & GTMetrix. 2. Framework in place for a Streamlined Wordpress site that’s easily navigable and easy to edit. We will discuss themes and design. I am very Wordpress literate; I’ve done all my own web design since 2007, but I am not a coder. 3. Site backend is easily worked on; i.e. once your work is done, we never need to contact you again for “how to” help. You provide documentation (video & written) for how the backend aspects are edited. 4. Total database size of 5GB or less with all files optimized or otherwise removed if unneeded. 5.
