Chakradance E-Course Videos

I am a Chakradance Facilitator on Vancouver Island. I am exploring doing an E-Course and would like help with videography and pre-recorded sound.

Here is what I need:

essentially, a shoot spread over 2 to 3 days

footage maybe split at my home and/or your studio - I would not be dancing, this is purely an explanation of the dance. There would be footage of a meditation, working with mandala art, how to prepare for the dance in your home - etc.

essentially me introducing and the chakra/dance for 9 segments - I would be changing into different outfits and slightly change the background of each 9 videos. I am guessing both landscape and portrait orientations would be interesting and usual. Perhaps.

Hire a Videographer to Film and Edit Filming

I highly recommend this option as you can guarantee that your videos will look and feel professional and of a high quality. It also means that you can focus purely on the content and delivering it, without having to worry about lighting, sound etc. The most cost-effective way to do this is to book two or three filming days (or half days) and record all the videos required for the e-course over these days. You could possibly do it in one day, although I don’t recommend that, as most people find their energy starts to dissipate towards the end, and that comes through in the videos.

It is important that you have a meeting with your videographer prior to filming to ensure you are both clear about the brief. It’s also important that you feel comfortable with the person filming you and meeting first is a great way to gauge this. I have found that videographer prices vary greatly, so I would recommend getting a few different quotes and asking for samples of their work.

Editing

You may find your videographer also does editing (make sure you discuss all this upfront) or you may choose to send the raw footage to a video editor. Either way, it is helpful to be clear about what kind of edit you are looking for. It may even be helpful to supply your editor with some samples of videos that you like.

Remember the main intention of your videos is for your clients to be able to take in the information they need for the week. Your videos therefore want to be simple, yet sacred. Your editor will also need the Chakradance logo, and you may like to supply a short video intro and outro. We will supply all of this to you in your marketing tool kit once you have successfully completed the training.
