Document On-Line Ordering:
We have several pages within our Word Press site dedicated for new order creation.
Our web site URL where the underlying code and plug-ins are located for this process is at: [login to view URL]
This one URL provides 5 different screens, accessible by navigation buttons, as follows:
1. Customer Product configuration (to specify order)
2 & 3. Customer billing and shipping data entry screens,
4. Credit card & payment information,
5. An order summary page and lastly,
6. An "order fulfillment" process that generates various outputs (email, PDF Invoice files, licensing, etc.), but has minimal GUI.
We want mostly high level programmer documentation, but appreciate technical details when they shed light on the process and increase understanding.
We need a breakdown of all methods and plug-ins used, along with the following information for each:
1. IT's purpose
2. A summary description of what it does.
3. Any parameters it accepts.
4. What methods does it calls.
5. What methods call it.
We will also require a cross reference providing screen shots of the web page / section in question, and all underlying methods which support this page.
Some of the plug-ins used within this process are also accessible by a Word Press Administrator, with their own interface, within the Word Press interface. These plug-ins provide essential functionality as well as allow data entry and data modifications and updates to our database.
One example is our Coupons plug-in. We would like general documentation on this area as well regarding their purpose. We will provide you with supplemental documentation we have on these. You DO NOT need to become an expert here, but because we'd like to keep our documentation together, we will assist on this step.
We also use plug-ins for checkout, code generation and credit card payments.
Lastly, we need a list of anything relevant for future developers who need to understand and modify the code and its purpose.
The developer must be thorough, well organized, analytical, logical and have very good English writing skills.
Thanks,
Tim
