Summary: Problems retrieving MP3 files (stored as BASE64 values in a Postgres database) with a webservice. We want to show / download the MP3 files from our custom portal (made in Visualforce in Salesforce). Description of the environment: The data is already in a Postgres database on the Heroku platform. There is already a JAVA application running on Heroku that gives us a webservice with methods to get information from the Postgres database. But the method used to get the MP3 file and DECODE it is not working fine. The file is not in a correct format, so you cannot listen to it. We already have the JS script to include in our Visualforce page to call the download of a file, but because the file is not decoded correctly we cannot use it now. In the Portal we also have the possibility to UPLOAD and DOWNLOAD Voicefiles (that’s something different than the Voicemails). I think the same decode problems will occur there. So we also want to have that fixed / checked

Hi, there. I've reviewed issue. I have a idea on my mind. Can I ask to send me code snippet which performs encoding/decoding. I cannot understand when if u encode/decode file on client or server side. Please let me review the code.

as I did read the problem lies in the wrong encoding filename or extension. (in the below description is more about the method " But the method used to get the MP3 file and DECODE it is not working fine.") I do have some experience with base 64. let me try to fix it

Positive sides: 1) Java developer since 2002; 2) worked with lots of technologies and many projects; 3) result oriented; 4) with focus on balance between performance and quality; 5) can work in kanban or scrum modes. Whatever is required; 6) also built team of Java developers, QA. They can help with the project; Not so positive :) 1) not worked as a freelance on online resources like this; 2) that is why starting with the lowest possible rate, but I'd like to increase the rate during first week of work. After my client understands that I'm good enough to fit the role.
