I am currently putting together a really big project using the open-source SVG-Edit from GitHub, but I am struggling with one particular aspect and really need some help. The program allows for the drawing of polygons and paths or lines. What I am doing is extracting the object data for those objects adn storing it in a database. I have managed this for polygons, no problem. I can get the colour and co-ordinates and save the data. What I need now is to be able to extract all of the data from a path/line (NOT a polygon) and save it as a string that can be saved in a database. That data must be able to be used to re-create a new path/line using create---from-json function in SVG-Edit. With your proposal, please show me a sign that you understand what I am asking of you and also tell me about your experience with SVG-Edit, how long it will take you to do (in hours) and how much you think that job is worth. This is not an hourly rate job and the time taken is not a reflection of the value, I would just like to get a handle on what you know before awarding the job to anybody. No need to tell me your skills and qualifications, it's not really relevant in this case. Thanks! NB: Some people offer out their freelancer projects. This is not a re-sold project. I do not approve of re-packaging projects in that way.

Hello, I am interested in this project. If you still need a solution - I have a cure:) As I understand the idea is to retrieve an item from svgCanvas by method getElem (path) and store it in the database as json and then add a stored object to svgCanvas using the method addSvgElementFromJson. To do this we need small function getJSONFromEle, which I just wrote :) So we act in this way: JSON is written by: jsonEle = getJSONFromEle ([login to view URL] (ID PATH ELEMENT OR ANY)) Now we can stringify it and save to DB etc... To use it after reading from DB we need to decode. and then: [login to view URL] (jsonEle); The code works correctly, checked for different types of objects. I look forward to hearing. firstly need good experience with svg image, i think. path track may consist from different kind of figures: lines, arc and bezier. export it to any format (for example to xml in SVG Edit) is easy task, imho. mainly part in your project is correct decode of source data to svg path format. i have good experience in working with svg through d3.js. give me some source fragment or raw data from your project: i will try to convert it to svg tag ( <path d="...">). best wishes!

From what I gathered from your descriptions, you need a script that will take data from a displayed SVG path and store it as a Json compatible string for a database to later use via the addSvgElementfromJson function in SVG-edit, which requires the DOM element, the line attributes and the curstyle. If that is correct, I can have it as soon as 1 day, and as late as 2. I almost take joy in poring through documentation, so that would be where I would begin, and if there is not already a present function, I will write a script to take the data itself.
