We make a product called "People Tally Counter". [login to view URL] This product consists of a group of photocells, a digital analogic converter, a Windows software and a Cloud system for the data management. When the photocell relay closes, the analogue digital converter converts the analogue signal into a keyboard function key (F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12, F13, F14, F15). The conversion is performed by an electronic circuit named "Teensy LC". [login to view URL] Whenever the Teensy device raises a key event (F7, F8...), our VB.NET <http://vb.net/> software memorizes a timestamp and then sends the data to our cloud system. Since our software works in backgound mode, the PC is free to be used for other functions. So far we have used our own library to perform the keyboard hook, but this library continues to give us numerous problems and it's not reliable. So we need to find out an alternative to our library. We need a DLL to be used in VB.NET <http://vb.net/> and/or C# programs. This DLL must read the keyboard events even if the application is not in focus. The events (for the key F7, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12, F13, F14, F15) we need are the following: - Last Key Down - Last Key Up - Depress Time - Lag Time the time between key pressed Are you able to make this DLL and how much does it cost? Hi! I'm experienced (over 17 years of commercial experience) application developer, highly skilled in windows programming. I'm familiar with windows interanals, c# and VB.net, so i can create such a library for you. You've said that currently you use our own library to perform the keyboard hook, but this library continues to give you numerous problems and it's not reliable, could you tell me what kind of problems do you have with this library? I am asking about it because if your library uses windows hooking to capture keyboard events - then maybe it's enough to correct it to avoid problems. Regards Janusz

Read and understood your requirements. Yes, It is possible to make a DLL file to work with keyboard events but your Windows (7 or higher) User Account Control (UAC) must be in lowest level. Basically, I work on VB, VB.NET, ASP.NET and MSSQL to build Windows/Web Application. Have real time experience on Digital platform or hardware interface building or designing. 15+ years of experience on Computer Language and Digital Electronics.

I'd still use a keyboard hook but implement as a windows service I assume you're just looking for a dll to capture the keyboard events and timestamp when it happens *Whenever the Teensy device raises a key event (F7, F8...), our VB.NET <http://vb.net/> software memorizes a timestamp and then sends the data (what about this?) to our cloud system. Also what problems were you facing with the existing keyboard hook?
