OBJECTIVES
Write Java software to import into a MySQL database, data from text files in two different formats- one with fixed width data columns and the other is tab-delimited.
This project is an extension of an existing Netbeans 8 project which I will provide you with once you contact me.
The project has two parts: (i) fixed width text file import and (see SKN files below) and (ii) tab delimited file import (XLS files below). MIlestones should be divided accordingly.
In both cases you must use the JRecord library for parsing. JRecord is already included in this project.
For both file types, the layout format is defined in an xml copybook.
You are required to create two DB tables, a JAR with a simple interface, and a console application.
For development and testing, I provide a sample of several input files:

and an XML Copybooks for the input definition:

are included in the project directory.
Also, some sql scripts are located in the project’s ‘ddl’ folder. You need to execute those and create the initial database schema for this project.
Finally, you will modify the existing console application so it will support the two new UBANK file import formats, while preserving all existing import capabilities.
