Need to develop an asp.net software with MS SQL as backend database. Key features of the software will be: a) there will be an XML file available as source input. This has to be browsed by the user and selected for import. b) the said XML file will need to be parsed based on pre-defined logic and imported into the database. c) based on certain logic, a few records imported will need to be displayed to user for updating certain additional fields in the database table. d) Once updation is completed, user should be able to generate pre-defined reports the XML file will have around 60 - 80 fields, of which only around 20 fields are required for import. Data in the XML file before a particular tag field has to be ignored, and only data appearing after that point has to be considered for import. It is expected that the database will have around 5 or 6 tables, The software will have around 10 screens and around 5 report templates. Complete source code is required so that any changes in database or templates can be handled internally. Detailed reqd document attached.

I have gone through your requirement specifications document and have a few queries on that 1. Is the database and related objects already created? If not then will it also be a part of the development? 2. In continuation with the above question, for all DB updates/inserts/select do you have the corresponding stored procedures in place? 3. Is the website architecture and design also required to be done? 4. For XML schema validation can we use an XSD? That will be better. I have more questions but those can be taken up if you select me for the bid. :) If selected for the project I plan to have few more discussions with you to get more details. Dear mr./mrs., I am an experienced sql server specialist. i work with sql server on a daily basis for more than 10 years now. I have written several stored procedures to import data from XML into the database. I think 90% of the project is sql server, so i would love to that.
