The goal of this project is to create an easy-to-use, secure, and universal web-based application for American non-profit community theaters to easily organize their financial and accounting needs all in one place (the “Program”). The Program will be accessible to multiple user types (theater administrators, theater employees, and ticket holders) through all platforms (Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.). I will create a data flow diagram to show how I would like informational inputs, outputs, and systems to flow. Of course, as you and/or your team develop the Program, I welcome your suggestions to make the Program better. The most important things to remember for this Program are: 1) Easy-to-use: The Program should be easy to understand and use for all users. There should be no need to enter the same data more than once. 2) Secure: All points of communication between credit cards, banks, and the Program must have the strongest and most up-to-date security measures in place. 3) Universal: The Program will be a web-based application accessible across all platforms and hardware. All of the user interfaces should be touch screen-friendly. If the Program is a success, I may ask you to develop OS-specific apps (for example, an iPad app for point-of-sales). 4) Data Collection: The Program will compile user data in a secured location for future use. I am looking for a developer or development team with years of experience, good references, and demonstrable work product to create the Program. This developer should be: • Able to work together and communicate effectively in English. • Have successful experience in creating secure systems to protect personal and financial information. • A passion for the arts. In this case, we are helping community theaters in the United States bring their money systems into one easy-to-use product to help them focus on creating better live arts for the public. • If I am satisfied with the Program, then I would like to develop an ongoing relationship where we can continue to update, improve, fix, and make the Program better.
