I want a simple php script that will take a Google Alerts RSS feed, like this: [login to view URL] The script will iterate through the items in the RSS feed and strip out everything but the destination URL out of each original URL in the feed, and then re-save the revised feed to a new, properly formatted RSS feed on the same server as the php script. So for instance, if the URL in the first item is: [login to view URL]://www.wkyc.com/news/social-media-dads-share-their-best-advice-for-fathers-to-be/247742715&ct=ga&cd=CAIyHDk3NTk4MDllOTVhMzIzMGU6Y29tOmVuOlVTOlI&usg=AFQjCNFXZ_TC_NT8YCqqakJURp6Bsfh91g the script should strip out everything from that URL except the destination URL, resulting in this: [login to view URL] The script will then use that URL in the revised xml file of the feed. The URL of the new xml file should end in .xml and convert to a properly formatted RSS feed, stored on the same web server as the script. The rest of the information in the original RSS feed should remain the same when transferred to the new RSS feed.
