Shipping Restriction Module for Magento

Shipping Restriction Module Requirements: "We have an eCommerce website built in Magento. We are looking for solutions to meet our shipping partners' requirements. We have a list of approximately 5000 pincodes from our logistics providers where they can deliver the shipments. The list of pincodes could grow in the future to between 10 and 20,000. Now we need to build a programming logic in the form of an extension for Magento. Extension should support future Magento versions as well. This extension should restrict the end customer (with an error prompt message using Ajax) from placing an order via the individual Product, Shopping Cart and Checkout pages. This error prompt message can say something like, "We are sorry, we cannot ship to your region" or something similar and disable buttons such as “Add to Cart”, “Proceed to Checkout” and “Place Order Now” etc. This should happen if : - the entered pincode does not match with the pincodes in the Excel list provided by our logistic partners. - the entered pin code corresponds to an area wherein the logistics provider has a upper limit on the shipment value AND the value of the individual product or Total Shopping Cart value / Checkout page value exceeds this upper limit Some examples : 1. For instance, there is an upper limit in certain states like Kerala and UP where we cannot ship orders worth more than 5000 INR. In such a case, the customer should get an error prompt message (using Ajax), saying something like, "We cannot ship orders worth more than INR 5000 to your region" or similar. 2. There might be situations where an individual product of value less than Rs 5000 can be shipped in isolation to Kerala. However if the customer chooses other items or increases the qty of the selected item such that the total purchase value is more than Rs. 5000 then the purchase should be blocked. Various such scenarios need to be identified and accounted for. The flow of the extension needs to be planned and executed in a thoughtful and logical manner. The extension should also provide for the following: - We will use different Logistics providers, each of which will have different shipping restrictions. - Gift cards and Coupon codes may be used at the time of purchase We are looking for a quote with turnaround time from a seasoned Magento developer who has handled similar assignments in the past. We will also conduct reference checks.
