Print Folder Tree Structure to CSV

Hi there I just read your requirement. I just wonder how are you going to feed the main folder? Is it from the local machine or the server? Can you elaborate a little more please. Thanks Rinsad

I can create simple GUI program for Mac and Windows where you'll be able to select target folder and after you click Start button it will generate Excel file with folder tree structure just like you want. Hi, I have good experience with similar small applications, and I should be able to provide you with an app that cover your requirements. Before accepting my bid, I need to discuss & confirm the exact format of output CSV file, to make sure I deliver a tool that is completely as you expect. I am posting this bid to do the Windows only app, I might be able to do Mac copy of it, but not guaranteed yet, because I haven't run a Mac computer in few years, so I need to verify this first, .. hello, my first idea would be a Python script, which would require a Python on the machine (script has to be interpreted). next it could be a C++/Qt project, that you could build for a Mac, and i can build it for Windows, code should be mostly portable, and it would run as a console application if you don't need a GUI, or with a small text input box for an output file name if you want a GUI. properly built executables would then be enough on their own to run on each system. or if you have any other idea, just let me know. greets, srdjan

Greetings! My name is Sergey Murzin, I'm from Kyiv, Ukraine. I have 25 years experience in programming. Any code I provide is well structured and commented, client gets whole access and rights for the code I made. Warranty covers any bugs detected later. Actually I could offer you 2 options: 1) MS Excel VBA script that would allow you to choose the folder (choose folder dialogue) and list the content in the format you need right at the worksheet - it would definitely work on Windows, but to let it work on MAC one has to tune the script on MAC (versions of VBA for Win and Mac are quit different) 2) OS X bash script that would just produce a text csv file being called from terminal. Windows Professional and Ultimate (I guess) editions have inbuilt linux terminal, so the script could be run at Windows too, but it might be quit complecated for user and could need some tests before saying for sure.
