I need someone with php background to add certain functions to OS Commerce Shopping cart. It would be helpful if you are strongly familiar with OS Commerce.
As you know, OS commerce has the ability to add products with attributes such as price, name, quantity.
I would like to add a second type of product with different attributes. In adding this second product, you will have to include this to the backend MYSQL. Also, a new search capability will have to be created for this type of product.

The details:
OS Commerce Shopping cart is a jewelry and loose stones retailer and has the feature of adding a 'product'.
This 'product' has attributes tied to it which describe its features including; product status, date available, manufacturer, product name, tax, price (net), price (gross), description, quantity, model, image, and weight.
After adding a few products, a customer has the ability to search for products using: keywords, categories, manufacturer, price from and price to, date from and date to.
The 'product' feature above works great for jewelry, but not so great for loose stones.
I would like to have the ability to enter a second product, a loose stone including the following attributes: shape, size, color, clarity, cut, price.
When a customer does a search, i would like to include the attributes; shape, size (from-to), color (from-to), clarity (from-to), price (from-to)
Another feature is for the customer to choose a jewelry setting and select what stone to apply to it.
This would have to be incorporated into OS Commerce and it's database.
Again, please have a strong understanding of OS Commerce when applying for this project. Makes my time a lot easier.
