Hello Freelancers, I am in need of a package receiving and re-shipment platform that will help me to run my freight forwarding business more efficiently. -- -- First, here is some background information about me ... I operate a freight forwarding business based in Miami, Florida ( USA ). This is how I currently operate ... 1. I receive customer cargo at my warehouse. 2. I arrange for shipment to an international destination using an appropriate shipping company. 3. I forward all shipping documentation to my customer so that they can prepare for receipt of their cargo. Up until this point, I've mainly dealt with businesses, and the process involves much time consuming physical paperwork. --- --- I now want to automate/streamline this process and offer my services to private individuals located all over the world. Here is a "basic" outline of how the cargo receiving/reshipping process would work ... 1. Client registers an account at my website and is provided a "virtual address with a suite number" at my warehouse. 2. Client ships their cargo to their virtual address ( At my warehouse ). 3. When I receive my client's cargo, all related information ( weight, dimensions, photographs, scanned documentation, tracking numbers ) should be entered into the system. 4. Client is given a choice of shipping couriers and pricing based on the actual weights/dimensions of their cargo. Or they can hold the cargo for consolidation with future shipments. 5. Client pays for shipping and any related fees ( Credit Card / PayPal / Wire Transfer / Deposit Account ) and I actually ship my client's cargo based on their preference. All related shipping info should be entered into the system ( tracking numbers / scanned documentation ) *Email notifications should be sent to client at ever step to make sure that they are always notified. Hi, I've read the description of the web reshipping platform you need. I understand how the reshipping business operates. The main parts of the platform that you described (the customer registration, entering the cargo data, the email notifications, etc.) are all quite straightforward. If you would like to, I could quickly create a free prototype for you to play with, to make it entirely risk-free for you. I've got a question regarding the following details: - Would you like the payment (the credit card, paypal, etc. that you mentioned) to be integrated with the website, so that the customer enters their Credit Card details directly on the website? (I've got experience with that as well) - Do you want a mobile application to be build on top of this also? For example a mobile application could instantly deliver notifications on the cargo status. Right now I'm bidding 1000 dollars for this, but the quote is really flexible (can be lower of higher), depending on the details of the platform.
