modify a wordpress site.

I have a wordpress site using the "Omega" theme with "Church" as the child theme. I need to make some styling modifications to the site but I need to keep the child theme intact. Also I need to have is so that changes are not lost when the child theme updates. Please dont ask to change the theme as it is already a dependancy. The problem: I have a site at [login to view URL] where I want to put a background image slider. If I implement it now, my header content will not be readable as the background images slide past. Therefore, the header content needs to be boxed in to separate it from the background. Here are the changes I need you to make: -creates a div element around the logo and the 'header-right' area which will touch the main menu (menu at the top. ) Basically, put a box in the header that is the same width as the content area. There should be no space between the main menu (top) and the new div. The width shoud stay the same as the menu itself. make the background color same as the default background color of the main menu (i beleive it is dark-brown or black). -tighten up the space around the logo and then bottom and top of the new div. As is, the logo is too far away from the menu (same with content in "header-right"). (the header right is where you see the text "The Home of Racing at Apex Mountain". the other side is where the logo is.) -maintain a reasonable margin above the div. -ensure it remains responsive and mobile friendly. I don't care how you do this as long as you meet the requirements: -You will have to do this on your own installation as this site is already in production. You can install the theme and child theme specified, build your plugin/whatever and upload here with instructions. I will intergrate and test. -cannot change the theme or child theme. -changes have to be made as per above. -changes have to persist across theme and child-theme updates. - Thank you for looking.
