I am using a Joomla component called jReviews and without much effort it does almost everything I need for my website project. Unfortunately the one thing it lacks is the ability to output reviews in a K2 blog (magazine) style layout. With K2 article listing pages, articles can be output in 4 styles (Leading, Primary, Secondary and Links) to give a magazine/newspaper effect so the latest article is most prominent whilst older articles progressively take up less screen space. A developer of a K2 website might have 1 Leading article, 2 Primary, 4 Secondary and 5 links which gives 12 articles on a page which the user sees then clicks through to view the full article.
As I stated jReviews can list reviews but they are all the same style so a bit dull.
What I have done is instead of jReviews review listing page, I have made copies of the jReviews Reviews Module and published 4 of these on a page. Please view the attached file to see the output.
However the problem you will quickly notice is that all the modules display the same reviews so there needs to be a way to apply an \"offset\" so the Primary module displays the 2nd and 3rd latest reviews with same principle (obviously different offset in each module) applied to the Secondary and Links modules too.
Fortunately within the settings for each module are two boxes called Advanced Filters (see attached jpg) where I believe someone with great wisdom and knowledge can enter appropriate code and an offset will be achieved. Therefore the freelancer\'s task is to come up with this code to achieve an offset.
jReviews have the below documenatation on using these fields.
