Hi, I specialize in Wordpress customization and server management and I have been developing websites since 2007. I hold Master's in Computer Science from DePaul University, Chicago and have been doing web development with my small team ever since I left my job at CDW, Madison. In these 9 years I have developed tonnes of websites using Wordpress and I have worked with clients and companies including Sears, Target, punch stock, tire rack, NASDAQ and Harley Davidson. Ideally, I feel the error is because of wrong db encoding. This can be fixed if we use proper Database type for your db and we can transfer all the data from MariaDB to MySQL as well. This will be a complex task to change entire db, but based on the nature of your error I don't think there is any other solution except this. I would like to take a look at your server (hosting) and can comment more. But based on the details I have I think the best way to move forward is this only and I would love to discuss about it over Skype or Phone call if you want.
