Edit existing Metafizze Isotope script to add Combination Filters as drop down menus

I have isotope working on a page but need to upgrade and edit it to allow multiple filters. Similar to the example on their support documentation but using drop down menus for each function

The drip menus need to be created by expanding and splitting a string in a MySql database using PHP

This is a sample of how the filter should look and work

The attached spreadsheet shows the structure of the filters - they will be dynamically generated for each of the 4 main website sections by expanding the string for that section - which is held in the top level page record. The php to retrieve this string is in place.
