We have a small but very interesting project. We are building an Online Therapy platform where clients can make appointments with their therapists online and have the consultation over video, audio or chat.
We need you to build the API's (see attachment for details) and the website using the API's for clients and therapists to access the system. All access to the backend will be through the API only. There will be Android apps built very soon, which will also use the same API's, but this will be a separate projct.
Preferred technology for building the API and website in this order:
1) Node.js (as the chat will be very easy to implement)
2) PHP
3) RoR
4) Open to other suggestions…except .NET or Java
The video and audio calling will be done using OpenTok, see [login to view URL] We have used this platform before and it is very easy to setup video calls…it takes only 3 lines of code.
Web Modules to be built:
The UI is being designed and will be ready in a few days and you will be given all design assets, but these are the modules to be built.
Client
1) Therapist Search: search results, filter, detailed therapist profile view
2) My Appointments: view list of appointments, book, reschedule, cancel
3) Have the appointment: audio or video
4) Chat: implement chat between client and therapist
Therapist:
1) My Appointments: confirm, cancel, reschedule
2) Have the appointment: audio or video
3) Chat: implement chat between client and therapist
As you can see, the therapist and client modules are mirror images of each other. The website will need to support multiple languages from day one. Once the site is ready, we will take the resource files, get it translated and upload in the appropriate directory ourselves. The data in the two DB tables which store client data and chat data will need to be encrypted and stored since patient data cannot be compromised at any cost. Our internal timeline is around 2-3 days for the API and 3-5 days for the front end.

- Which technology stack you will use, ex: node.js with Angular or PHP with the framework name, ex Laravel
- Breakup of how much time you will need for the API and the website
- your skype id so we can start talking immediately
