Convert php social script into hybrid app

So this is my personal project. I found many social script on internet such as phpfox, socialengine, mooSocial etc. and I want to use this script to create a community for gamer, so basically its just for gamer to hang out, share screenshot about their game, add friend , and chat or even group chat. When I saw this social script online, I think I can use this as the base, and then just convert it into mobile app both iOS and Android, because of the low level of the funds, I'm suggesting to create a hybrid app for this and I think ionic would be a great match. In short what I have in mind is to use this ionic kit to connect to the php, but I dont know how, thats why Im asking for help. The App Features is just to convert the php script into mobile app, and get the forum module, groups module, friends, and chat module working with in the app. Some features that the script provide I dont think I will need it for now. So its just a simple app to connect to the php. I have check the php social script, they have their adminCP, and I want to be able to modify the app side menu or features, so I can also learn from this project. I'm open if you have any suggestion, or any other option, please let me know.
