I have acquired a tender for a Web-based software application as described below.
Before awarding the project we will require the CVs of 2 suitable programmers that will be working on the project showing a minimum of 5 years' experience in web application development making use of applicable languages such as PHP, MySQL/SQL, Javascript, Ajax etc.
The CVs must have contactable references.
This is just a very basic description of the system, but a detailed and clear software spec will be provided to suitable candidates to provide a formal/final quote.
The system will be an administration system to aid in assessing the eligibility of candidates/employees for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
The Web app must have the following functionality:
1. A candidate (employee) can register on the site and provide supporting documents and will also be given information about the process and what is required to get ready for an RPL assessment. Through the portal they can also see their progress through the process at any time. (Once the candidate has submitted all the right forms, they are given a voucher to use with an accredited RPL service provider who will evaluate the information provided.
2. Accredited RPL service providers can interface electronically with the candidate to see if the right information has been submitted. They can then also communicate with the employee about any additional information etc. required. And the portal will record all this information for them so that can see all the communication back and forth between themselves and the employee/candidate.
3. The portal will have various company's in-house courses defined which assist the RPL service providers to correctly assess a candidate.
4. Employers can monitor the progress of their employees in the RPL assessment process.
5. RPL assessment service providers can get information/stats on the portal as well.
