WE need a new website for our company. I am looking for DESIGN expertise, and programming expertise to put together a database-driven website using .NET 2.0/C#/SQL 2000. NO FLASH. Must take full advantage of CSS styles and master pages as implemented in .NET 2.0. All pages should have a common header, footer, menu bar and side bar. Content for all of these page elements must be pulled from SQL database, with a web-based admin tool to add/edit/delete content. I do NOT want to use DotNetNuke or any other portal system. I will provide our logo and some examples of our marketing material so you can get an idea of the colors and styles we are looking for. All assets (images, etc.) should be optimized (for example, if a jpg image is going to be in a 200 x 150 area, the image should be resized to that size).
I don't need actual content, just the structure with the layout, CSS pages, etc. I need a web-based method of adding content to the site (for the header, footer, menu bar, side bar, etc.), and I need a web-based tool for modifying the CSS file (in other words, someone who knows NOTHING about CSS should be able to log in to this admin page, and then choose colors, fonts, etc. for the various elements of the site.) The values for the CSS elements should also be stored in the database.
Finally, I need straighforward documentation on how to add additional pages (assume a knowledgable .NET programmer will be following the instructions). For example. of the menu bar is an ASCX control, then you should provide the steps and parameter info needed to make the control work on a new page.
Project must be done in Visual Studio 2005, and must include instrutions on how to install and configure on our web server.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in compiled form as well as complete source code of all work done. Source code must be in Visual Studio 2005 project format, using C# as the code behind language.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must include instructions from Seller as to how to install on Buyer's server in a ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
4) Web site must contain admin pages to facilitate the magament of content for headers, footers, menu items, side bars, and to modify CSS style elements as described in teh Description section above.
5) Website should include five pages: Home, Contact Us, Services, Case Studies, and News. Dummy content can be used for these pages. Hte purpose of these pages is to demonstrate that the site navigation works properly and to demonstrate that the site is using .NET 2.0 master pages correctly.
6) Buyer will release 25% of the funds for this project when Seller provides the initial Visual Studio Project file that includes the site structure and five pages with navigation working. Buyer will release an additional 25% of the funds when all database integration is complete, and site is funtioning with CSS. Buyer will release additional 25% of funds when admin pages for manageing Database content and CSS styles are completed. Buyer wuill release remaining funds after al bugs have been resolved and Buyer is able to install the project on Buyer's environment.
