WP Theme Customisations(repost)

I purchased the Classipress classified ads theme for Wordpress and I would like to make some customisations to this theme. I have structured a site for users to buy and sell human hair and have all the categories, forms, etc complete. **I need two theme customisations before I launch and start promoting the website:** **1) I want to be able to **give users the ability to mark their ad listing as ‘Sold’. A red 'Sold for $xxx' banner would be strung across their listing photo after the user marks their listing as sold. The ad should still be available for users to see for ‘x’ number of days in the future but hair buyers wouldn’t be able to contact the user. The user should be given this option in their own dashboard where they currently have all other settings.**** ****2) I get a lot of information from users when they list their hair for sale. For just the ‘Hair for Sale’ category and subcategories, **I would like visitors to be able to sort / filter ads using the information sellers have given. For example, visitors should be able to sort by price, ethnicity, location, hair colour and all other information that the seller has provided upon registration. This filter ability should be conveniently and neatly located. I like how eBay allows users to drill down into specific subcategories and particular features ??" this is something that you could work off.****** ******Wordpress experience is a must. Experience with the Classipress theme is a plus. **I think the code is written primarily in PHP.******** ## Deliverables More detail on the **2 customisations that I want on the (single) Classipress theme that I have already installed and partially set up: **1) As mentioned in my brief, users need to be able to mark their listing as sold in their own dashboard (Classipress already by default gives users their own personal dashboard which allows them to see the ad's they have live, pause ads, etc). The button on their dashboard near their listing (under options column) should state: 'Mark as Sold'. Once the user clicks this button they should be presented with a field asking 'How much did your listing sell for?'. The field should have a US$ as the currency. Once the user marks their ad as sold, it will stay in the listings for another 150 days but will have a red banner draped across the right hand side of the picture. The banner should state 'Sold - $xxx'. The 'xxx' should be replaced by how much the user sold the item for. E.g. Sold - $150. The selling price information would have already been sourced when the user marked their ad as sold. The 'Sold for $xxx' text should also be added to the end of the listing title. Once an item is marked as sold, the listing owner should no longer be contactable via the 'Contact' part of the listing. If the listing was a 'Featured' listing (users pay a premium for when they list their ad, it should be demoted to a standard listing. I.e. If a featured listing is sold, it should no longer be in the 'Featured' parts of the site but just amongst the other standard listings. **2) I think the second modification is more straight forward. I need those browsing categories and listings to be able to drill down and sort / filter / organise using the field information the listing owner provided upon registration. I.e. they should be able to sort by price, ethnicity, hair condition and everything else the listing owner gave upon registration. A point that I am conscious of is that I don’t want any hardcoded customisations to be wiped out when Classipress release an update. Having fully documented changes will help prevent this. Furthermore, Classipress recently released an update which incorporates **Child Themes. I understand that this helps users make changes to the theme whilst leaving the core files intact ??" I’m not sure about the ins and outs of this but I think this could be used to make sustainable changes.
