[login to view URL] is in the middle of a website redesign. The HTML templates for the site have been completely coded and now we require an experienced PHP/MYSQL guru to write the PHP that integrates with our existing website MySQL back-end.
Focus must be applied to producing secure, lightweight code as our website receives over 1million hits per month.
Additional knowledge of vbulletin is also required as a small amount of integration is included in the project.
## Deliverables
As mentioned previously, we already have the HTML templates completed for our new website. These will be provided to you, and it will be your job to write the PHP that pulls the articles from our existing MYSQL database on to the new website. Attached are some screenshots of our new website so you can get an idea of what is required.
There are also the following additional requirements.
-PHP / MySQL must be coded with security and performance in mind. Our website reaches millions of people every month so database queries must be kept to a minimum and any data placed in the mysql database from users must be checked for attacks.
- The existing URLs for all of our articles (not too fussed abotu navigation) must be kept intact. As I coded the original PHP for our existing website, I can tell you exactly how things work.
- The visitor comments system on our new website should be integrated with Vbulletin.
-NO SLOPPY CODE! If you mess something up or change a feature while coding the website, clean up the old code. We don’t like old code hanging around!
-Bug fixes. We accept there will be bugs with the website, but prompt fixing of these bugs for at least 3 months after the project is complete is a must.
-Communication via MSN would be helpful (with all chats uploaded to RAC). Will save time emailing back and forth.
-We use IIS 7.5 (with URLRewrite) + PHP 5.3 + Mysql 5.1 on our servers. If you’d like to develop directly on one of our servers we can give you FTP access and an SQL database.
