Zencart Customization

We are fashion wholesaler and want to build an online catalog and ordering platform for providing our customer a friendly way to order apparel from us. The platform is base on Zencart but need certain modifications and customizations to fit our needs. At the early stage, we simply want to allow our customer to see our collection online and select their preferred apparel into an order sheet. No payment would be done over the platform. The platform is supposed to provide our customers to place an order conveniently as it provides the most informative detail for each style for our customer's consideration. Also we can update the latest fashion to the platform at anytime in order the reduce the cost and time by sending traditional catalog by mail. However, we do expect to expand our business by building up an full functional online web store in future including payment gateway. We now finding an experiencing, talent and reliable Zencart designer/developer to work with us in long term. Also, we have a sister company which is an IT consulting firm (not focus on programming field), we would definitely interest to have more business opportunities in further way. The ordering flow is below 1/ login 2/ view our collection and select quantity and color 3/ add to order sheet 4/ submit order sheet to us 5/ we review the order enquiry and check stock to avoid refunding for non-stock item. 6/ Quote for the shipping rate if using our own courier. 7/ update the ordering with shipping charge added. 8/ We inform customer to check and confirm the order in the platform. 9/ Customer makes payment 10/ Order ready to ship, notify customer For the platform, below are briefly requirements 1/ customize the website layout base on our design 2/ banners have to support both jpg and flash 3/ configure the product listing 4/ preserve the shopping cart function but modify to "order sheet" 5/ product info page has to support multiple pictures. The page shows one main picture and several smaller pictures at the same time. User can click the smaller picture for seeing it in the main picture without loading the whole page or popup windows. 6/ In the product info page, it shows the addition colors which are available for the style. 7/ Eliminated the shipping method/rate while checkout. It's supposed to be settled by email after order sheet submitted. Because of that, no instant online payment should be made. 8/ Restricted payment method. In the customer profile, administrator can assign specific payment methods (TT, Credit card, PayPal, L/C) to each customer. Customer can only use the assigned methods to make payment. (Original zencart allows customer to choose the payment method without the control of seller, we don’t want that happened) 9/ Enable administrator to update the order detail in the platform, include the quantity, unit price, and etc) 10/ Correlated to the modification of front end, customizing the back end interfaces are needed.
